All children are so different and it's important to gage their behaviours when deciding on when to toilet train. Here are some helpful tips when deciding whether it's time!

  1. Are you ready? Parent involvement and motivation is so important. Even if you need guidance on where to start, our first question will be, "Are you ready for this commitment?"

  2. Is your child staying dryer/soil free longer throughout the day. Are they remaining dry after a nap? This suggests your child is able to hold it longer and giving the opportunity to get to the toilet.

  3. Is your child showing discomfort with a wet or soiled diaper? This helps motivate them to avoid that uncomfortable feeling.

  4. Showing interest in the toileting routine or attempting to copy the behaviour of using the washroom for all toiling routines.

  5. Showing signs they are going (pee-pee dance, hiding to go #2 )
